Tobacco and nicotine dependence training opportunity

The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI (SUMHLC) is offering an opportunity to learn more about tobacco and nicotine dependence, and what you need to know to help your patients quit.

The Opioid Treatment Program Health Home Initiative and the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals will provide a live training on nicotine addiction and how to help people quit. Participants will learn about evidence-based treatment options, referral resources, and SBIRT clinical interventions.

By completing the live webinar, participants will attain the certificate Tobacco and Nicotine Dependence: What You Need to Know to Help People Quit. Completion of the webinar training also includes CEUs for Social Work, Chemical Dependency Professionals, and Mental Health Counselors.
