BCBSRI is excited about the legislation pending Governor McKee’s approval that will allow for the creation of new “associate" level licenses for Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associates and Marriage & Family Therapist Associates. We are continuing to monitor the status of the legislation and will make edits to our supervisory protocols once the Department of Health’s regulations are updated to allow for these new licenses to be issued by the state.
