Readiness for host claims inquiry calls to the Physician & Provider Service Center
To resolve your inquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible, we encourage providers to be prepared when they call our Physician & Provider Service Center with questions about denials on remittance advices for all host claims (Blue Card claims). If your office calls us to disagree with a denial, we ask that you are prepared with backup for your inquiry. The following questions may be asked in order to resolve your call most efficiently:
- Why do you feel this claim was denied incorrectly?
- Did you check the member’s benefits or eligibility?
- If this is regarding a Blue Card member, did you speak to the home plan? If so, do you have a reference number, the name of whom you spoke with, and the details they provided?
