Osteoporosis screening and fall prevention

Preventing falls and subsequent hip and vertebral fractures is important for our senior population. Hip fractures can be debilitating, and sometimes require hospitalization and surgical treatment. It can take months of therapy to fully recover. While it may seem small, preventive screening (bone density testing) and fall prevention education can have a significant positive impact on your patients’ mobility and quality of life.
