We’re excited to announce the implementation of MHK (formerly known as MedHOK) in 20 de septiembre19. MHK will serve as the new mechanism for entering prior authorization requests for both outpatient services and acute inpatient level of care. As we transition to this new platform, we have made sure that it will be seamless for our hospital and provider partners. As long as you have access to the bcbsri.com provider portal, you will be all set! If you do not have access to the provider portal, please contact Provider Relations at ProviderRelations@bcbsri.org for assistance.
Outpatient providers will be routed to our new MHK tool in September, rather than the current “Clear Coverage" platform. Hospitals will also be routed to the MHK tool, and will no longer have to enter requests directly on our portal.
Our Provider Relations team will be scheduling trainings for our providers. We would like to hear from you about your training preference in August.
