Effective 20 de marzo21, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will adjust the rates for certain consumer-driven health (CDH) plans. These adjustments align with the current CDH marketplace and represent the first increase since the plans were introduced in 2013. The new rates apply to flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs). Health savings account (HSA) plan prices are not changing.

• FSA plans will now be priced at $5.25 per employee per month (PEPM)
• HRA plans will now be categorized as either standard or custom
  • Standard HRA plans will be priced at $5.25 PEPM
  • Custom HRA plans will be priced at $7.50 PEPM

The new prices take effect upon your client’s renewal with BCBSRI, beginning with 20 de marzo21 renewals. London Health, BCBSRI’s CDH plan administrator, will notify clients and provide an updated fee schedule at least 30 days prior to the renewal effective date.

If your client’s plan is impacted by these rate adjustments, they will receive notice from London Health. Please contact your BCBSRI sales representative with any questions.
