Effective 1 de enero de 2026, CMS is updating the turnaround time (TAT) requirement for routine cases from 14 calendar days to 7 calendar days. This applies to both Medicare and Medicaid. BCBSRI and their vendors will be following this protocol. All routine authorizations will be turnaround within 7 calendar days of receipt.
